RF 2400 Software
This section will discuss how to download and install the desktop reader drivers and software.
Requirements
Web integration supported by Firefox and Chrome browsers only. To use the RF 2400 block device to scan and write to RFID tags, do the following:
- Download and install RF2400 Driver.
- Download and install Ensyc Installer.
- Install the Firefox or Chrome plugin pertaining to your browser.
Instructions
Once the browser extension and Ensyc package is installed, connect your RF 2400 Block Reader device to your computer. If it is already connected, disconnect and reconnect the device to your computer. From there you can search by RFID using the ‘Scan RFID’ button at the top, key in RFID values into existing records through the ‘Key RFID’ menu in the main record display, or write to an RFID tag from an existing record using the ‘Write RFID’ button in the main record display.
When the application talks to the block device, you will hear a beeping sound. If you don’t hear any beeping, it could mean there was issue during setup or with device recognition. If the device beeps but you are having trouble reading or writing to tags, the block sensor may have trouble reading the tag. Place the tag directly on top of the sensor with the tag centered.
